The pergola is wall-mounted to the facade of the house. Screen blinds were added on the sides to shelter the terrace from wind and low sun.
The screen blinds cut the wind and take the sharpest edge off the sun without closing the terrace off completely.
Project Journey
Challenge
The location on the outskirts of Trebnje is exposed to wind from open fields. A pergola without side protection would lose functionality on windy days.
Solution
Sun Winner S500 with retrofitted screen blinds.
Result
The terrace is now usable in conditions that previously drove the owners indoors. The louvres handle rain and sun overhead, the blinds handle wind and low afternoon light from the sides.
